So Close!!!!! Only 3 days

The Build day is so close, and we are getting VERY excited! Zenner Concrete Pumping is on its way as we speak to load up our new playground equipment and bring it home. A HUGE thank you to them for doing this!!! Some preparation work will take place tomorrow and Friday, but the big build will be Saturday. If you volunteered to bring some of the tools we need for the build, they can be dropped of at the Community Centre starting today. If you drop them off before Saturday, please pre-label them yourself. Some of the tools will be needed Thursday and Friday, so if you can drop them off , that would be fantastic!!!

The Lioness Donate again.

A surprise donation from the Lioness Club was made during the Summer Carnival yesterday. This is the second donation that the Lioness have made to the park, as well as helping out with the summer carnival and our brunch. Thank you ladies, your support is much appreciated. Accepting the cheque on behalf of the committee is Jill Cassibo.

United Church Sunday School Children Donate to the park.

On May 29, the United Church Sunday School Children hosted a pancake breakfast to raise money for the park. They were able to raise an AMAZING $1000. They made a presentation to the park committee yesterday. On hand to accept the cheque was Sherry Stewart.

Summer Carnival

Despite having to change the date due to the rain, there was still an amazing turn out yesterday for the Carnival!! Everyone looked to be having a great time!! Just over $3400 was raised for the park. Many thanks to all the service clubs that took part, Lions, Lioness, IODE, Youth Committee, Christ Anglican Church, Wild about Farms, Pentecostal Church, Knights of Columbus, Norwood Agricultural Society, Wholi Granoli, Gwen Carter and the A-N Playground and Park Committee. Also a big thanks to Rob n' Roy for their great entertainment, Marilynn Wharrem, Marion Kelly, Dan Heffernan, Jeremy Heffernan, Maureen Heffernan and Clayton Heffernan for their assistance in running some events. There were also items donated by Wrap it up and Go, JJ Steward Motors, NDHS Manufacturing class, Dave & Helen Wilford, Three Days Grace, Joan Vansvield and Andy Calder Excavating. And last but certainly not least, the members of the community who came out and supported the cause! Once again you have reminded us all of your generosity, and the importance of this project!!
